Hurricane Season Card 2005

I also can't very well send Father's Day cards to people other than my father, so again I found something else to do. This is particularly relevant to me here in Florida. I did this one in Flash, to see if I could get the hang of the drawing tools. (Another in my ongoing series of monthly cards, all featuring self portraits of some sort. I use them to keep in touch with people and also to ensure I do at least one finished drawing a month amid my busy work schedule.)

Years later, it still bothers me that it looks as though the tree is bending into the wind.  Unless you knew our yard, this would be the case.  We had a single surviving palm tree from what used to form a V-shape, so it bent off to one side.  Ah well...I'll design a right-to-left wind next time I draw myself clinging to it in the wind.
